Gin Mixer: a taste of ForrestBrown life

As another summer’s day drew to a close, the gin bar was set up, the artisanal cheese platters were laid out, and the balloons were inflated. Lots of balloons. The top floor of our Whiteladies Road office was ready for a party.
We firmly believe that you don’t need a suit to do well in tax. We pride ourselves on our ambitious and inclusive culture, working together with a shared purpose. What better way to showcase that culture, and our employer profile in Bristol, than with an informal Gin Mixer featuring local microdistillery Psychopomp?
It’s a work hard, play hard, sort of business. You work hard in the busy times to give good client service, but it’s also a very nice friendly office that feels so far apart from your normal tax firm.

A tax consultancy with a difference
As soon as you step into our Bristol headquarters you can tell that we’re a tax consultancy with a difference. Bright colours, open spaces and a stacked beer fridge! So, we knew the best way to let Bristol experience life at ForrestBrown was to welcome them into our offices.
We invited friends and acquaintances from across Bristol to come and visit our HQ and take part in our special gin tasting event, the ForrestBrown Gin Mixer. The event showcased Bristol gin from Psychopomp and delicious organic local cheeses from our client Godminster, (the oak smoked cheddar is our fave!).
Who won a FitBit?
Psychopomp brought four of their delicious gins, encouraging guests to test their tastebuds and decipher which botanicals went into the gin. All competitors were in with a chance to win a FitBit if they correctly guessed the four botanicals in the gin. It was harder than it looked! Ellie James from McCann was the lucky winner, having correctly guessed three of the four secret ingredients; almond, lemon, rosemary and bay leaf.
With the gin flowing, our guests explored the offices. Our photo wall – displaying all the amazing adventures we’ve been up to at ForrestBrown – was popular. Workout Wednesdays, Christmas holidays, summer socials, awards dinners and office hijinks were all featured.

We had a wonderful evening, lots of fun. It was lovely catching up with old friends and meeting so many new faces. ForrestBrown has had a tremendous year of growth and we’re nowhere near stopping.
