The role

Love working with the people behind the numbers? If you are looking for a role where you can use your tax technical firepower to help accountants in a different way, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for.

We’re ForrestBrown, a firm of chartered tax advisers specialising in research and development (R&D) tax. Our team has substantial experience and technical expertise in this field which, combined with our passion for our clients and entrepreneurial spirit, helps us deliver outstanding results for a wide portfolio of innovative clients. Established in 2013, we have offices in both Bristol and London and are proud to be one of the largest specialist R&D tax teams in the UK.

Our partnerships teams are at the forefront of how we grow and develop our business, and the relationships we have with other accountants are an important way of taking our preeminent specialist advice and knowledge to a broader client base. To build on that successful work we are looking to further grow the team.

This is a role with real purpose – collaborating with the wider business to spot opportunities to help educate accountants about the benefits of the R&D incentive, the sheer diversity of qualifying activities, and to help them overcome misconceptions so that they can bring this value to their clients. You’ll do this by building trusted relationships with partners, contribute to content ideas to engage our accountancy audiences, as well as helping to deliver workshops and presentations. You’ll also work with the wider education and awareness team to support campaigns including webinars, briefings, industry insights and client materials, all designed to showcase our people, our technical firepower and our premier service.

As a people person you will confidently build and nurture these relationships to deliver new business – and how you do that is, in part, up to you. As part of an evolving team – you can contribute to the depth, breadth and direction of this role, and influence what our future looks like.

So, what will you need to be successful in this role? Well, ideally you will already hold a professional accounting or tax qualification, or have made significant progress towards doing so. You’ll have great technical tax knowledge and be keen to learn more about the R&D incentive. More importantly you will have experience of working with other accountants – and be able to leverage shared experience to build strong and fruitful relationships. You’ll be naturally inquisitive, with a proactive nature, have brilliant communication skills and most importantly be up for the challenge.

So, if you are passionate about helping us grow our business, and want to use your experience and knowledge in a different way why not come and learn more about opportunities in our accountancy partnerships team?
