The role

At ForrestBrown, growth and progression is our future. We’ve doubled in size every year and we’re not about to stop now. We want to keep helping innovative clients maximise their R&D tax incentive. To do that, we need the help of a new partnerships manager to help educate accountancy practices about the benefits of R&D tax incentives and build relationships with new firms.

You will leverage your own experience of the accounting world to help grow the relationships that ForrestBrown has with accountants. You’ll be naturally inquisitive and identify new firms from our existing client base, and also via wider networks. By collaborating with your wider team, you’ll help to educate them about R&D tax incentives – including the benefits of using them and the sheer diversity of qualifying activities. You will also help them to overcome misconceptions so that they can bring this value to their client base.

As a people-person, you’ll build relationships with these firms and help them to spot opportunities for their clients. By nurturing these relationships and working collaboratively with your peers, you’ll develop new referral relationships and advocates for our business. You’ll do this both on the phone and in person, and you’ll know the right events and places to be at to spread the word about the great work we do here at ForrestBrown.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with accounting experience who is looking for a change. You don’t need to be an expert in R&D tax incentives, we can teach you that ourselves. Most important will be your experience of working in practice. You’ll be a natural people person with proven experience of building relationships with senior decision-makers. You’ll need to be a self-starter with a high-level of inquisitiveness, ready to build your own network. Ideally, you’ll be a qualified tax accountant (ACA, ATT/CTA) or at least have a track record of selling services to accountancy/FS practices or insurers.
